frequently asked questions

  • WHAT DOES EASTWOOD HAVE FOR MY FAMILY?

There’s something for every member of the family at Eastwood. From preschool to senior adults, you’ll find small groups, special events, and more designed just for you. At Eastwood, you can get involved in music, recreation, community outreach, missions and evangelism, and more. Plus you’ll find special events throughout the year including our Men’s and Women’s Ministry events, Vacation Bible School for children, the Christmas presentations, and more designed to help you grow spiritually, fellowship with friends, and reach out to others.

  • WHAT WILL MY CHILDREN DO WHILE I’M IN SERVICE?

Children are important to Eastwood! While you attend the Worship Gathering and adult Sunday Morning Small Groups, the kids, based on their ages, will be in special programs designed just for them with caring teachers who want to show them the love of Jesus. We also offer a nursery for babies and a Preschool Ministry.

  • WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

You can learn more about what we believe as a church here.

  • HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

Our services are approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

  • I’M IN A WHEELCHAIR. WHERE DO I GO?

Wheelchair access and seating is available on the main floor at both locations. Our ushers will be happy to help you locate appropriate seating.

  • WHERE SHOULD I SIT?

You can sit wherever you feel comfortable in our Worship Center at either campus. If you have difficulty locating a seat, our ushers are available to assist you.

  • WHICH VERSION OF THE BIBLE DO YOU USE?

Pastor Tom James at East campus preaches from the New King James Version (NKJV). Pastor Ben Simpson at South campus preaches from the English Standard Version (ESV). We accept all versions of the Bible that hold true to God’s Word.

  • WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC IS USED IN WORSHIP?

Eastwood doesn't have a style of music, preferring a mix of recent praise songs and hymns. Both locations utilize praise singers and a praise band, while East campus also offers an organ and a worship choir. Our aim with the music is to create a sense of anticipation for the preaching of God's word that follows our singing.

  • HOW DO I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?

Sunday Morning Small Group classes meet at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays at East campus. Classes at South campus meet at 9:00 a.m. For help finding the right class for you, visit our Welcome Desk at either location or call the church office at (270) 842-7867.

  • WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Ample parking is available close to the church building at both locations.

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress comfortably! We have members in coat and tie, members in jeans and t-shirt, and everywhere in between. We meet to worship the Lord and fellowship with other believers. We believe that it’s the attitude of your heart that matters to God, rather than your physical appearance.
